Service & warranty

Warranty terms, what to do if something goes wrong, care tips and answers to common questions.

Two-year warranty

Every INTERSTELLAR case comes with a two-year manufacturer’s warranty from the date of purchase, covering defects in materials and workmanship.

If a manufacturing defect is confirmed within the warranty period, the case will be repaired free of charge, the affected part replaced or the case exchanged. The choice of remedy is at the manufacturer’s discretion.

Not covered

  • Normal wear and tear, and damage from knocks, drops or crushing
  • Deformation and material ageing caused by heat, for example in a car or near a heat source
  • Natural ageing of wear parts: rubber seals, interior foam, velvet lining, straps and fittings
  • Unauthorised modifications, disassembly or repairs by third parties
  • Damage to instruments carried in the case
  • Damage in transit, improper storage and accidents

The warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable.

Your statutory rights against the seller are not affected or limited by this warranty. The warrantor is the manufacturer: OmeBaige Musical Instrument Factory.

Care and storage

A few simple habits keep your case looking like new for years.

  • Avoid heat

A car boot in summer or a spot next to the radiator can permanently deform the shell and foam. Don’t leave the case there.

  • Let it dry after rain

The outer shell is water-repellent, not waterproof. After a shower, leave the case open to dry before putting your instrument back in.

  • Clean gently

Wipe the outside with a damp cloth and a little mild soap. No harsh cleaning agents, no washing machine.

  • Look after the zips

Brush sand and dirt out of the teeth, and don’t pull the zips tight over edges.

  • Take the straps off

Remove the backpack straps for the car, the plane or storage – so they don’t catch on anything.

Frequently asked questions

Which case fits my instrument?

The collection lists every case by instrument, and each product page shows which instruments it fits. For unusual instruments, our team is happy to help by email.

Are the cases waterproof?

No. The outer shell is water-repellent: rain and splashes bead off. In heavy rain or standing water, moisture can still get in.

Can I remove the backpack straps?

Yes. Both straps are padded, adjustable in length and detachable.

Which cases have wheels?

The two double cases for saxophones: OMB-IS-DS-1 for alto and soprano, and OMB-IS-DS-2 for tenor and soprano. Both also have an extendable telescopic handle.

What does ‘detachable bell’ mean?

These models are made for instruments whose bell unscrews, such as many French horns and trombones. If your instrument has a fixed bell, choose the model without this addition.
